I am new to this, but wanted to build a fast, simple, and versatile black deck. It is for casual play and I tried to keep the cost under $15.
Fast ETB creatures drop quickly and disrupt the opponent. Discard keeps their strategy off track while a touch of land destruction slows them down. I few creature removal cards help clear the way. Cadaver Imp offers some creature recursion. GMOA or a pumped Nantuko Shade offer wincon.

This is my first black deck, aiming to be fast and efficient. The discard mechanic is one I wanted to try out as a defense, but am unsure how much discard is the right amount, or if it will even be effective. With all creatures having some added value through ETB I figure a little too much discard isn't a bad thing. Thoughts?
