How to Play

The strategy to play with this deck is to use the elves to add mana to cast Terra Stomper or Gaea's Revenge or even to use the elves in an attacking way by using them with Giant Growth, Groundswell etc... Hellix pinnacle is used to finish games that take to long and asceticism to protect the creatures.

Deck discussion for MonoGreen Elfs

Terra stomper's very out of place here. Same with Gaea's Revenge. Elf decks don't rely on tougher monsters to get their strength. They boost their numbers and give it to themselves. If you're open to getting new cards, work on getting elf buffers. Elvish Champion, Imperious Perfect, (more) Elvish Archdruid, Immaculate Magistrate, Eladamri, Lord of Leaves and Ezuri, Renegade Leader.

Ezuri will let you regenerate any elf on the field for one forest (save himself), and once you've got the mana ramp he gives all your elves a huge buff + trample.

Eladamri, Lord of Leaves pretty much gives all your elves hexproof. Think of it as an elves-only, 2 cost asceticism. A bit spendy as far as cards go (~$10), but worth it.

My favorite combo though, is Joraga Warcaller and Immaculate Magistrate (Maybe with a set of Oran-Rief, the Vastwood in the deck). Just stack the counters on Joraga. I've gotten elves with +20/+20 by turn 4 with this.

There are a few cards that work a lot with tokens as well, but I've honestly found that it's so much trouble keeping track of counters and tokens that it just takes the fun out of the game.

Edit: This isn't necessarily an elf card, but it's great for any green deck with a lot of permanents. Genesis wave is a 3+X cost card that lets you put X permanents from the top of your library onto the battlefield. It only works if the permanents have a CMC lower than X, but if you're running elves you shouldn't need more than 4 there (unless you want to put more than 4 cards straight to the field).

Feel free to check out my elf deck if you want some other ideas ;-) it's worked quite well so far.

Well, first of all, i don't have much money to spend since i only play for casual, that's why i've made this low budget deck, so i can't spend $10 on a single card, and, i don't know how do you play but, Eladamri, Lord of Leaves doesn't give hexproof to your elves, it gives shroud, so you can't "push them up" with Giant Growth, Immaculate Magistrate etc...
