Deck Description

Mono-Black discard deck.

How to Play

You start off by playing Dark Ritual, Augur of Skulls and Cry of Contrition on the Augur. Turn 2, you sacrifice the Augur of Skulls and your opponent should have 1 or 0 cards left. You then follow it up with a Nyxathid (7/7) and win the game.

How simple is that?

Deck discussion for Augur of Contrition

Nice casual deck. Try Undying evil to get more discard from your augers and save your big creatres for a second hit. You should probably run some main deck removal and cut dowm on your flying creatures. Megrim or Animate dead could also help.

Personally I'd want to put that discard to even more use. May want to consider splashing some blue and putting some cheap bounce cards to compliment your discard. Blizzard Spectre would be a near perfect fit.

Not sure how invested you are in keeping it as a mono-black though.

i really like that card but there is a huge problem.
first turn i wouldn't be able to throw it out with a dark ritual.
i feel like hypnotic specter is better because it's a 3 cost, yeah it's shock-able but it's still fast. that 1 card discard on turn 1 could make them have 4 cards on turn 2, and possibly throwing out one of their lands, which is the best part.

but thanks for the advice, im down to make it multi-colored as long as people have some suggestions! :D
