Deck Description

This deck is a slight remake on s0rinmark0v's Dimir Dementia 2 deck. While his focuses on milling their deck out, I have modified it slightly to focus on using the mill to buff up your creatures. To me, this is a more *tactical* way to win, and is possibly even faster than milling them out.

How to Play

Use the Diabolic Tutors early in the game to help find and get out the Aberrations, and the mill spells on your opponents to buff up the Aberrations. Whan you get them out, use the Artful Dodges or the Rogue's Passage to make them unblockable and smash your opponents for either massive or lethal damage. Use the Deathcults and the Phantasms to get the extra damage in so you can pull off a fast and easy win.

Deck discussion for Dimir Mill-to-Buff

Not really into vintage/legacy, so maybe Diabolic Tutor, to make it Modern. Good concept
Maybe swap 2 Artful Dodge for 2 Breaking//Entering.......
The public usually say go with them

Sorry, but NO. For what they are compared to what they cost, I personally think they are unfair, and therefore left them out. If anyone is AGAINST this, not my problem.
And read the description. THE DODGE ARE IN THERE FOR A REASON!!

I would also recommend Wright of Precident Six. It gains +1/+1 for each creature in their graveyard!

Two milldecks recently went top 8 in modern.

Since there were two very different designs winning, I think the cards they shared in common should be a hint towards what actually works for mill...

Here's what the two winning designs got in common:
4 hedron crabs
4 archive trap
4 visions of beyond
4 glimpse the unthinkable
3 cards giving slight card advantage (either snapcaster mage or augur of bolas)
2 cards discarding important stuff (either thoughtseize or surgical extraction)

Thank you for the help - I have now edited the deck to make room for these cards, and I think the deck is a lot better now. You are a legend.

These numbers are mainboard...
The two decks are really different so what they share in common must work for mill somehow, so don't cut these numbers.

I personally dislike visions of beyond so if you want to deviate with that one, go for 4 preordain instead. I know I will.
