Deck Description

Super Hostile decks are an original design created by me. The name, believe it or not, actually came to me while I was playing Minecraft V1.2.5 - specifically, the map 'Super Hostile - Sea of Flames'. I decided, since the deck theme is just like the map theme, that the name was very appropriate.

The idea is, you are supposed to attack frequently with cheap creatures, while removing OR immobilising your opponent's creatures so they can't block you. Nothing in the deck should be OVER 4 Mana in total, but I do recommend keeping it at 3 mana where possible.

Any recommendations for creatures are greatly appreciated!! I could always use some help. Feel free to look at all of my other Super Hostile decks if you get the chance. Just search for the name or tag 'Super Hostile' and you will find the list of them.

Sideboarded Sanctuary Cat For The Win.

How to Play

I play creatures ASAP and save the removal spells for when necessary. Use all the creatures to attack at once, but beforehand, destroy or Exile some of their best creatures. Use Doom Blades, Path to Exiles and Unmakes in response to their blocking if you deem it an important move.

I like all the control. You know, There is this card I've been looking at called Dross Harvester who is VERY AGRRESSIVE. Death's Shadow also comes to mind.

I would use Oblivion rings in addition to the Fiend hunters and change the Ajani Suntrikers into Knight of the Meadowgrain. Barony Vampire is not aggressive at all so I would prefer 4 Tithe Drinkers in its place and if you want to immobilize your opponent just use Blind Obedience instead of Pacifism. Zealous Persecution would be a beast in this deck since all you need is a couple of creatures and boom.
All aside as an modern deck this pretty weak... Just look at mine;

I do like the fair nature of this deck, but with a little work this could be a really good deck man!

I would recommend Orzhov Guildgate for this deck

No, I need the land to be untapped so I can get the creatures out faster.

Your mana costs are too specific to not run dual lands; at least Orzhov Guildgate or Temple of Silence.

Neat idea. I'd make the following changes:

-2x Diregraf Ghoul
-2x Mogis's Marauders
-2x Accorder Paladin
-2x Ballynock Coronet
-3x Swamp
-3x Plains

+4x Marsh Flats
+4x Godless Shrine
+ High Preist of Penance
+Orzhov Pontiff
+No Mercy
+Frontline Medic
+Vindicate
+Nether Traitor
+Precinct captain
+Tithe Drinker
+Uncle Istvan (BECAUSE SUMMON UNCLE ISTVAN)
And maayybe, just maybe, Hunted Horror, since you would be able to answer the tokens

You really really need dual lands. With so many WW, and BB Spells, the chances of you casting them on curve is pretty low without duals. throwing in Godless Shrines will definitely help, and adding some Marsh Flats to both thin the deck, and pull out that second colored land you need. Frontline medic is a good add because he can let your guys swing without repercussions, No Mercy makes people think twice before attacking, High Priest of Penance is also pretty good at deterring attackers. Nether Traitor, Precinct Captain, and Tither Drinker are just solid two drops. The Pontiff can either turn a swing lethal or simply clear the way for your attack.

Other than that, Mogis's Mauraders should go, because even though you have some BB costs to help it out, chances are there will be many times that all you have out are white creatures, and it would just be a dead play. Accorder Paladins are really just not that good. They are waaay too fragile to block, and generally never survive more than one combat step. If anything, you could swap them for Signal Pests. That way you have a 1 drop you can always play, and you'll get more value out of Battlecry. Diregraf's are meh, and as the deck is now, there's a 50% chance that if he's in your opening hand that you'll even be able to play it. Ballynock Coronet, is another iffy card. It's not bad, just not good.

And finally, there is but one thing that can beat the Sactuary Cat in the sideboard. The mighty, the unstoppable, the all powerful STORM CROW!!!

This captures most of what I would have to offer up toward critique and suggestions. I agree the deck needs to be thinned and a few lands added.

The two weakest creatures imo were the Ballynock Coronet and Diregraf Ghouls. I didn't view the Accorder Paladin's or Marauders as being as bad, however, I thought the Fabled Hero didn't fit well, wondering what you regularly target them with. Lastly, I wasn't a big fan of Path to Exile.

I agree Nether Traitor is a strong add choice, or maybe a Bloodghast would help. Tainted Field is decent lower cost land fix too.

I do agree with Godless Shrine and Marsh Flats, as well as Frontline Medic. Other than those, the other cards didn't really flow with the whole strategy.
I also took your advice about removing the Diregraf Ghoul, and replaced them with some more Desecration Demon.
Fabled Hero have Double Strike, as well. That's why I added them.

Thank you for your suggestions, though. I do appreciate the help.

A better replacement for the Fabled Hero would be Silverblade Paladin. Same cost, same P/T, but you actually get more value out of it than just a 2/2 Double Strike. As is, you don't have a single card that uses triggers Heroic without killing your Hero. In general, there are plenty of other sub-4 Drops that have double strike that synergize with your deck waaaay better than Fabled Hero.

Agreed. Too many kill spells for Fabled Hero without an indestructable source for it
If you want to keep Fabled Hero, need something like Darksteel Plate

1. Thanks! I completely forgot about the Silverblades! I somewhat hate myself now...
2. I neeed room for the removal spells. With the amount of creatures I play, there's no need to make one of them Indestructible.

I would get rid of:
Ballynock Cohort
Banisher Priest
Blind Zealot
Fiendslayer Paladin
Mogis's Marauder

I would add:
Champion of the Parish
Grand Abolisher

This will decrease your mana curve and make your deck much faster.

Other Cards of interest:
Go for the Throat
Imposing Sovereign (Though Blind Obedience is much better)
