This deck badly wants to abuse the Ion Storm enchantment with Undying creatures. First, this was a black/red shell with geralf's messenger, but I couldnt get the versatility I wanted in those colours, so I built a Pod shell around it.There are some neat interactions with Ion Storm. First of all, you can remove counters from Undying creatures to reuse them again and again. Almost the entire Pod chain has undying so you can get a lot of value from your creatures as well.
You can create some nice looping interactions. The most powerful one is having a Pod/MagMaw, an Ion Storm and a Flayer of the Hatebound, where for a little mana you can keep returning the flayer and deal 7 damage for just 2/3 mana. Im thinking of turning it into a Jund deck so I can play better sacrifice outlets, but the mana is hard as it is with the double green for geist that you really want to have on turn 2.I added the Skarrgan Skybreaker as something to pod into from the flayer of the hatebound. It will deal 5 damage from the flayer, which will trigger the bloodthirst from the Skybreaker, and you can then fling it at the opponent for 6.It doesnt quite have the ''I win'' comboes of Melira/Kiki pod, but it should be quite fun for a modern FNM.
