In the early game your creatures can play defense. Pestilence limits the effectiveness of zerg decks . Blood Tithe can pad your life total while you wait for your combos to set up. By turn 5 or 6 the Cairn Wanderer should be an interesting threat for opponents if anything interesting has gone into any graveyard. In the mid game the combos should come together. The infinite combo is Sanguine Bond plus Exquisite Blood plus any damage to an opponent: kick it off and each time an opponent's life goes down your life goes up which causes an opponent's life to go down...Try to equip the indestructible Phylactery Lich. Ideally the phylactery counter is on an indestructible Darksteel Citadel or the regenerating Living Wall. The option of putting several phylactery counters on several artifacts is also good. Put the Basilisk Collar or the Bladed Pinions onto the Lich and your opponents will have a situation to deal with.In the late game the pestilence should be strong enough to deal with medium sized creatures without killing you. Use Geth's Verdict to overcome the opponent's super creature. Staff of Nin and Elixir of Immortality are meant to give that little bit of an edge to overcome problems faster than your opponents can cause them. This deck is not perfect and it cannot deal with every threat. But it is fast and fun in big groups.
