Deck Description

When I heard that Goblin Piledriver was being reprinted into standard, I started work on this deck. What I thought was going to be a straightforward, Red Deck Wins turned out to be a Jund splashing when I found out that with Foundry Street Denizen, Goblin Rabblemaster and now Goblin Piledriver all in standard as Warriors, I could make use of some of the new Warrior buffing. Blood-Chin Rager was what I selected, giving it only a tiny splash to keep the deck running smoothly. The other splash is for destructive revelry, to keep my removal options open while still dishing out damage with those card slots. I've been thinking very powerful thoughts about this deck idea and I'd like to see if anyone has advice on how to make it better.

How to Play

The deck works one of two ways. Piledrivers, Rabblemasters and Denizens can pound the life out of your opponents while swinging with fellow goblins. The Blood-Chin Ragers make them more effective by giving them Menace. Impact tremors is another fun way to get damage through. Against decks heavy on defense or lock-down, it allows you to dish out damage straight to the face with Fodders, Outbursts, Rabblemasters and Heelcutters.

Turn 1: Land and Denizen.
Turn 2: Land, then Rager, Piledriver, Tremors or Fodder. If you net creatures on this turn, your Denizen gets bigger and swings that much harder.
Turn 3: Your land drop this turn opens up almost the entire deck. You can afford to drop a Rabblemaster or Outburst now and get the ball rolling faster.
Turn 4: After the land drop, you're running a surplus of mana. my favorite plays are Tremors into Fodder, Outburst into Collateral or if you have a Piledriver or Rabblemaster swinging with just two other goblins, you can drop a Temur Battle Rage on one of your attackers, giving them Double Strike and Trample.

With the Subterranean Scouts in the sideboard I'm testing how well they can replace the Heelcutters. Yes, they don't interact as well with my Denizens or Tremors, but they allow me to make a Rabblemaster or Piledriver unblockable for a turn. More importantly, they do it while getting around Hexproof.

If you find that combat refuses to go your way entirely, switch out the black splash and the Ragers for Exquisite Firecraft to apply more pressure. this deck can win after combat damage becomes less effective, it just takes longer.

Tormenting Voice is there to get extra lands out of your hand, the fetches are there to either grab the extra color you need, or get extra lands out of the deck. The most expensive card in this deck is four mana at the moment, and a surplus of lands being drawn will bog it down just like any other top-decking agro deck.
