The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Deck Description

Ninjas and Faeries under $15. What more could you want from a deck?

Notable Synergies:
1) Ornithopter/Memnite + Faerie Impostor = Free Faerie
2) Faerie Impostor + any ninja = Reusable ninjutsu
3) Ornithopter + any flier = +1-2 extra cards per turn
4) Tandem Lookout + Ninja of Deep Hours = +2 extra cards from ninja alone
5) Tandem Lookout + Looter il-Kor = +2 draw -1 discard
6) Ornithopter/Memnite + Faerie Impostor + Cloudfin Raptor = Evolved Raptor
7) Any bounce creature/spell + Stormbound Geist = Undying again

PLEASE RATE and I will rate one of yours. Thanks! :D

How to Play

BE NINJA. BLUE AGGRO YEAH! ADVANTAGE WHEN YOU HIT YEAH!
Quickly cast your zero and one-drops. The deck has many creatures that give card advantage and tempo when they hit. There are many small and evasive weenies to ensure that they will get through.

Outrace and out-tempo your opponent as early as possible by DRAWING extra cards and BOUNCING enemy creatures every turn slowing them down. Counter and bounce at your discretion.

For this to happen, your ninjas/lookouts must hit UNMOLESTED. It is often a good idea, for example, to wait until an opponent taps out before dropping a Tandem Lookout on an Ornithopter. That way you'll be drawing AT LEAST +1 card instantly. Otherwise, your lookout will just eat a Lightning Bolt, squishing your tempo and hopes.

There are plenty synergies here to ensure that there will often be unblocked attackers, as well as ways to gain tempo. Remember, this is a budget casual deck, so please rate it as such.

I'm still open to suggestions that could help the above deck, as well as suggestions for the sideboard!

Deck discussion for Ninja Faerie Tempo (~$15)

Phyrexian Walker and Shield Sphere are two other creatures with zero casting cost. Not sure if you could use them in this deck or not. And how much are Counterspells nowadays? I would recommend them over Mana Leak. Not sure if any of those cards are Modern, though. For 15 dollars this deck is really nice! Good job.

Wait...just seen where this deck is Modern...that may explain why Shield Spheres/Counterspells/Brainstorms are not in the deck. Duh. Sorry for the bad advice.

No problem. Yeah those would definitely have a place if they were modern legal.
Thanks for the feedback :)

what is modern i know of all the other formats?

Modern is the format wherein all sets 8th Ed and newer are permitted.
The playable sets do NOT phase out; it is good for players who are tired of constantly having to re-spend every time standard rotates ;)

I built a similar deck a while back, although my version had Pongify to use on my Ornithopters, Memnites, and Stormbound Geists. Cool deck.

By the way, you may want to consider Familiar's Ruse instead of Mana Leak.

Hmmm Familiar's Ruse does seem viable! It's a toss up. Sometimes I want to bounce my things, sometimes I don't.
But thanks for the suggestion. I'll test it out! :) If you want me to rate any of your decks, just toss me the link.

Ornithopter doesn't actually deal combat damage so any effects that trigger when he deals combat damage wouldn't go off.

Ornithopter is still amazing with all the ninjas and Faerie Impostors in the deck.

@JaceTheMindSculptor The rules text says you need to return any UNBLOCKED attacker to your hand.
So long as your thopter flies over, he is an unblocked attacker and hence, a ninja can take his place via ninjutsu.

i think he was refering to the card draw ability of your tandem lookout

@SharpRaptor
Oh yes. If it is the Tandem, he is correct. Tandem is best used with looter, faerie impostor, geist, or cloudfin.

Hello again. Up with another deck? This is pretty cool. Note that the tandem lookout ornithopter combo won´t happen. Ornithopter's power is 0 so nothing will happen. Otherwise awesome deck

A pretty cool deck. One of the cards I didn't expent was the lookout. As a player who opened countless avacyn packs I can say I have honestly never seen one before. Definitely liking the way this deck works. Very good card though.

Ty ty. Tandem is a bit of a gamble, but you can eliminate a lot of drawback by simply playing it on a tapped out opponent. A great budget card all around. Pretty crazy if it keeps slipping through.

Great deck for the price, nice build. I like that this uses the same concept as a friend of mine's strong ninja deck, yet is much more economical. Would you mind rating a deck of mine? I will provide a link below. The deck is fairly cheap with the biggest problem being some side board cards that increase the cost of the deck, and the preordain's making the deck non modern playable. Again, great build.

Oh, and invisible stalker would be a great card for your build because of it's hexproof/unblockable ability.

I like how to the point the spread is; almost any hand will do. How heavy have you tested this? How does 21 land feel?

0

My version of this only runs 20 lands and it does fine. Mine does have a few less 3-drops though.

@Spudshaver 21 works pretty well for me. Nothing is over 3 cmc. The average cmc is about 2, and there are a bunch of zero-drops as well. All in all, 21-22 seems good :)
