Deck Description

this is a second attempt at getting a Bloodbond March deck to actually work. the trick it seems is to get those early creatures into play so you don't get overrun by your opponent.

groundbreaker is the green ball lightning and goes amazingly well in this deck. argothian wurm is another surprisingly good card when you can recur in multiples. 6/6 trampler for 4 mana, or blowing up their lands over and over again is pretty good in my book.

a late addition to this was gatekeeper of malakir for recurring removal, something this deck was sorely lacking. they combine with perilous myr to create a solid creature-removal base. honestly i'm very pleased with the result =D. the only thing missing is card-draw but hey no deck can be perfect. try not to over-extend and this deck should perform very well indeed.

i am tempted to shoehorn vampire nighthawk in here somewhere, because it's such a solid card, and i'd like suggestions for what to drop and importantly WHY to drop it. all suggestions welcome and i will consider them. obviously against control decks, i'd drop the gatekeeper and stick nighthawk in there for the win. against aggro though the gatekeeper wins.

Deck discussion for rush from the grave mk.II

why not add a few doom blades to kill off those early crittas whilst you build up your mana even run some elves along with the birds as these can chump if needs be and increase your mana speed, you could go as far as rampant growths but i think x 4 doom blade or terrors or such things will but you the time you need, then your dropping big bootys like the obstinate baloth getting your life back and becoming established !

maybe run rancore to increase the potence of your ground breakers its gonna come back to your hand when you sac the ground breacker and can be put on your birds and elves (if you run em) early on for more effective blocking,

good deck though gives em lots of problems when they know a big trampling hastey thing is coming they tend to leave blockers then there presented with a big wurm and its like oh ok handle two thrests or start loosing land, very nasty and well done 8/10 from me buddie.

feel free to rate and help with my decks particulaly the myre and the masticore decks ive just built, cheers.

thanks for the suggestion. llanowar elves are a decent idea (especially for blockers) but i really love having that massive 3-mana boost from the bloom. it can really swing things around and also gives your opponent something to be worried about, which is actually a positive thing.

saying that, the addition of doom blades wouldn't go amiss, for sure. i've been trying to fit them in there since i came up with the idea but it's very difficult to cut anything. perhaps the bloom (perilous myr is a bomb in this deck and it definitely has a place) but then it slows down the deck considerably.

perhaps there's a best of both worlds..... how about gatekeeper of malakir? that thing would be a re-usable bomb in this deck and would reduce the need for doom blade. excellent =D.

and what about vampire nighthawk? hmmm i think that may have a place in this deck as well! it's certainly an excellent 3-drop. maybe the best ever.

i think i would agree with most of that ,glad you put the gatekeepers in i note you like creatures on the board early, not only are these fast but they keep the balance of creatures in your favour as you gain one as the opponent looses one !, a good addition i would say !, i think with those and the perilous myres reappearing and destroying your getting there, i can see this coming together now like the term reacurring removal as it suits bet thoose nast ball lightning type things and the land destruct are nasty as they keep coming in and out ! all focused around that blood bond march, maybe a wordley tutor or a black tutor or two so yu can search for the card with the ability you really need, or of course survival of the fittest althought its pricey or the new elf which does the same !, re-rated to 9.5/10 well done.
