the idea here is to use cards that get me way ahead of my opponent in terms of board presence or card advantage. stuff like precursor golem, scarecrone and so on. dread statuary and factory also give you uncounterable board threats which is nice. emerge unscathed, combined with precursor golem and golem foundry, is both a protective card and a win condition.
