Life is (infinite) life

Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (6 cards)

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Original main idea of this deck is to gain life and grow a superstrong creature via Sunbond. Later I found out that Sunbond on a Spike Feeder means both an infinitely huge creature AND infinite life, so there is also an infinite combo in here (yeah, I know, technically it's not infinite, stfu).
In the early game my walls should keep me alive. Note that Perimeter Captain gives me life for each defender that blocks.
Later in the game, Wall of Reverence + Sunbond means a creature that doubles it's size each turn! Ageless Entitity has an Sunbond built-in.
I don't plan adding flyers. Instead I will run cards like Whiteout and Tower Defense. The cool thing about them is that the opponent doesn't see them coming, then his creatures will run into my walls and with the Captain out, this will net me lots of life which in turn grows my Sunbonded creature bigger! That's why I don't run Spidersilk Armour this time.

Prime targets for the Sunbond are Rhox, Mindless Automaton, Triskelion, Sabretooth Nishoba and of course Spike Feeder for infinity.

Cards in the sideboard are cards I consider adding but don't own yet or that I don't have space for anymore.

Deck discussion for Life is (infinite) life

I just realized that if you slap Sunbond on a Spike Feeder, you get both an infinitely huge creature AND infinite life!

Maybe I would get comments if I put "infinite" in the title ...

Lol, that's not a bad idea. Put "combo" in there too, and you're golden. :)

Oh boy .... this is where I feel at home! White lifegain ... finally, I can be of some use!

Well ... I'll just list cards, and briefly describe each. Personally, I prefer Angelic Accord -> Archangel of Thune -> Angeluc Skirmisher.

Gain life:
Rest for the Weary - best lifegain 2 drop ... ever
Pride Guardian - another defender that gains life!
Congregate - hehehe ... how many creatures are on the field?

And use dat life:
Voracious Wurm - budget Ageless Entity!
Personal Incarnation - funny as hell, nigh unstoppable tank. Especially when you have 40+ life.
Serra Ascendant - practically an auto-include. 6/6 flying lifelink beast ... for 1 mana.
Felidar Sovereign - okay, so it's not practical. But it's funny.

Oh ... and bioshift isn't half bad if you go the counters route.

Aside from that, whiteout solves your chump block woes.

I don't share your opinion on Rest of the Weary at all. It's pure lifegain that doesn't server any other purpose and even with landfall, 8 life aren't THAT great.

Pride Guardian, however, looks like he belongs in this.

Congregate, yeah, this card is so ridiculous we actually have a house rule about it: Only your own creatures and those of ONE target opponent count! You couldn't have known that of course, so good catch.

Voracious Wurm doesn't work with neither Sunbond nor Wall of Reverence - these two are what this deck is built around.

I like Personal Incarnation but to be honest, you can get better things for that mana these days - for example Deathless Angel. He can make himself or any other creature indestructible, which is superior to Incarnation's ability and is 5/7 flying instead of 6/6 walking.
But, of course, Personal Incarnation earns mad style points :)
Okay, I'll toss in a single one. And when I play it, I'll pretend that it's ME, hehe.

Serra Ascendant: You are right of course, but I don't own this card and it's 10+ dollars. I don't feel like trading for it for a deck that is 20 dollars total that far, especially since it would just be a filler card of sorts. But yes, it is a logical step to add those! Will include him in the sideboard (=cards I consider adding), maybe I will be able to pick some up.

Felidar Sovereign:
That guy has already a job application here:

(another lifegain deck, maybe check that out, too)

Thanks for the input, man.

No problem. I had a feeling that this deck was made for style points.

Managed to trade for more Ageless Entities and a Purity, so the deck is finally up to 60 cards and legal, ready to be built as a "paper Magic" deck :)

Building this deck now and had to make some more adjustments:

-2 Pride Guardian (don't have any :P)
-1 Personal Incarnation (sorry, Hokey, but besides being outdated, I can't afford to lose half my life ...)
-1 Axebane Guardian (I don't really need THAT much mana)
+1 Temple of Plenty
+1 Triskelion (Sunbond target for damage)
+1 Mindless Automaton (Sunbond target for cards)
+1 Sabertooth Nishoba (ultimate Sunbond target for damage and life that is unkillable by damage)

Will play it this weekend.

I like this deck. I am trying to build my own lifegain type deck so this is a nice reference point if I need, but I just don't get one thing. How come the anti-flying spells are in the mainboard, aren't they better in the sideboard? Tower defense does have a nice toughness boost, so that I can understand. And what do you think of Rhox Faithmender?

I play casual multiplayer, read, we don't use sideboards at all. And flyers are omnipresent.
What I listed in the sideboard are cards I consider adding or cards I yet have to trade for.
