Looks pretty strong. Nahiri seals it. I think a decently-built control EDH deck could counter it, as well as mana screw, but it seems strong enough. The only thing I'd be worried about with this deck is mana. You've got some coverage with Sol Ring and staying in one color, but (speaking from my luck and experience) if your opening hand has anything less than 4 lands, you'd probably want to mulligan.

I agree with Blizard on the shroud thing. Other than that, it looks pretty solid. Remember, Darksteel Mutation doesn't overwrite power and toughness increased by a value (like +3/+3). It overwrites the printed power/toughness on the target's card, and overwrites any effect that sets power/toughness to a specific value (like Godhead of Awe).

Here's my thing, bud. Ward Sliver is a 5-drop, with a single color symbol in its cost. This is a Commander deck. You can generally afford to play higher-costing cards in a Commander deck, from what I've seen. Giving all of your slivers protection from a color? That should never be overlooked. Plus, yes, we'll hate you for it, which is what you want. Haha.

Ahh, I see. If you're not drawing land there's a chance you're drawing or have already drawn one of your ramping cards. Seems pretty solid, then. I like the deck!

Okay, edit: Xenograft doesn't make your creature spells into that creature type. It only affects creatures on the battlefield. So it's not as broken a combo as I made it seem. My mistake.

I think you've found a great use for a card I've been trying to get to work for a while. I'm not exactly a fan of letting my opponent attack me, but for some reason, I never thought to combine it with Phyrexian mana cards. I likey.

Did you consider Door of Destinies for this?

I like this deck. I think you should update it or make a new Mine Vamp deck when Innistrad comes out. I'd like to see how you'd build it with new vampires.

I have a question, Alzorius: with 22 lands, how are your mana draws? How often do you get mana or color screwed? I like the idea of the deck, I just personally have terrible luck with drawing mana so I tend to put a lot of lands in my decks.

I agree with you, Alzorius. Also, I think the Ravnica bounce lands might be fun if you happened to want to splash other colors, befos. Just a thought.

How does the mana work with this deck, when you play it? Do you draw the Rites consistently, as well as drawing lands consistently? If it works, I may just steal this deck idea for my casual games =D Definitely love the idea of the deck, I'm just concerned about the mana.

I also just realized you mentioned a fourth creature type. 4 Doors + 4 Xenografts = quadruple +1/+1 boosts plus your Lords. Just sayin'.

My mind is blown, sir.

I just imagined this deck with a few Door of Destinies in it. Get all three of them out, plus your Xenografts, and you're hitting all the Doors with a charge counter for each creature spell you cast. Plus your creatures get triple the +1/+1 boost since each creature has 3 creature types. I've got a friend running a single Door of Destinies in a Myr-only deck that makes me shudder every time I see his 1/1 Myrs become 5/5s or 10/10s within 2 turns of DoD dropping.

I would play this deck. Easily. I've been on the wrong side of mill decks almost the entire time I've been playing (my group of friends, with one exception, is a mill-happy group), and this deck seems like one they'd drool over.

I like it. If I may make a couple of possible sideboard cards/additions?

Jace, Memory Adept definitely helps your card draw, seeing as how his ultimate ability allows you to draw 20 cards. Plus he can also act as a milling machine (if you want to go for that, too).

Sphinx of Magosi works pretty well as a win condition with card draw, too. For 2U, you can draw a card and then put a +1/+1 counter on it. Card draw + buffed up creature = win.

Azure Mage is a lot cheaper than the Sphinx, but his card draw ability is 3U and doesn't grant any other benefits.

Also, I think this deck would absolutely murder with a few Jace's Erasures. Even if you didn't change anything other than adding Jace's Erasures, with all the card draw you have, milling your opponent would be pretty quick and sweet.

Just my thoughts. I'm a fan of card draw myself, and I'd definitely play this deck without any of my suggestions. I just suggested things because I think they're interesting, personally.

I'm not sure how interested you are in putting a bit more proliferate in this deck, but if you were interested, I think Inexorable Tide might work well, though it does have a CMC of 5. Might be too expensive. Also, if you're going for more mill, Jace's Erasure might help, too. My friends play mill decks a good bit of the time and I regret to this day giving one of them the 3 Grindclocks I owned.
