Deck Description

My first deck I'm posting here so feel free to be harsh. I love Mill decks because the general idea is to outlast your opponent, so the longer the game lasts, the more mental stress your opponent is accumulating. I tried to keep the deck price reasonable since I don't want to be spending $100+. You could of course make it better by adding a few expensive cards (like more double color lands) or cheaper by using weaker similar cards (Oblivion Ring instead of Detention Sphere). I know the side deck also needs some work. Open to suggestions (on everything).

The synergies/combos in this deck are as follow...
Talrand, Sky Summoner + tons of spells = tons of 2/2 flying tokens
Jace's Phantasm + tons of discard abilities = 5/5 for 1 summon cost
Psychic Spiral + tons of draw cards = massive mill card mid/late game
Evolving Wilds to help burn your deck down a little quicker for Psychic Spiral and get the land cards out of the way so you can get to the important cards quicker.

Key card to the win is of course Jace, Memory Adept (0 cost ability) although you can win without drawing him by combination of all the other cards with Psychic Spiral as your finisher.

Deck discussion for Draw Heavy UW Mill (Standard)

trepanation blade might be a good idea to throw in, you always have a mill effect every attack step, not to mention it makes jaces phantasm very scary =p

I thought about that a while back, but the way I made this deck I will almost never want to attack unless I'm against a very irregular decks or they get very unlucky. My creatures are all there just to stall for time. And if you wonder why Jace's Phantasm instead of another wall, its because a 5/5 allows me to thin down my opponents army for a few extra turns before they get too big and force me to board wipe.

Do you feel you have enough mill spells in here to effectively and completely mill an opponent out? I mean i see jace, he's a nice every turn mill for 10 if you use that ability. I figured trepanation blade would be a good fail safe ya know? and naturally, i can't imagine a mill deck not having jaces phantasm in it, it would be stupid ( in my eyes) to not run him in every mill deck. I always worry about my opponents removal in a deck of few creatures, ring of evos isle is always nice =p but if you plan on board wiping almost every game anyhow, then maybe a 4th supreme verdict be a good idea, stop an army from growing more than once and their deck should be pretty nicely crippled.

Hope i could help ya at least some
