Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Like the planet destroying beam from the original Deathstar, this deck channels all its destruction to one point - then straight to your opponents face! This deck started as one built by a friend of mine, I liked it so much he gave it to me as a wedding present over 10 years ago. I've never changed the theme of it, just added cards I thought would make it work better, or replacing cards with better ones to do the same thing. It's now the deck that has seen the longest continuous service...still need a sideboard though...

Deck discussion for Deathstar v.3.0

The deck is very dependant on the 3 dolls. You should consider at least outting 4 in, or getting some way to fetch them from your library - like enlightened tutor or something similar.

You need a way to win without Stuffy Doll.

I like the fact that the deck is really nice budget-wise and also stars the oldtimer personal incarnation (though he still sucks) :)

Yeah, been meaning to add that 4th Doll for a while now. Have had some success without the doll though, It's nice to use a Captain's Manuever to redirect a bunch of that 13 damage from a creature to your opponent, but I 've been thinking of adding a few ways to force some attacking Kor through (Nightbird's Cluthes, etc), but I feel that would alter the deck to substantially.

Hey Rabid,

I think the Captains Manuever is too expensive, since it's at least 4 mana before you start benefitting from it. In most games you probably wont have mana for more than 3-4 redirected damage. Which means that you're probably better of using a playset of lightnings bolts as casual control. I like the breath of darigazz.... think I will fit that one in my deck as well. It's probably one of the best cards to fit in this kind of deck.

I have changed my stuffy-deck quite a bit, so it looks more like yours, though there are still some significant differences. If you want to, you can check it out. The comments in there are from when the deck looked alot different from now.

and the 'at least 4 mana' in the Captains Manuever should have been 'at least 3 mana'

Hmmm, I forgot about Guilty Concience. I might just have to add those in for fun. And yeah, I have been thinking about those Captains Manuever's. They were in the original deck and I have been thinking about replacing them with maybe Lightning Helix, or something to that effect for damage/control. Also maybe adding 1 more Worship...
