Deck Description

A simple aggresive creature-based deck meant to maximize the effeciency of Bloodbraid Elf. Completely Modern Legal as of 12/29/2012

Modern Cockatrice Matches:

2-0 vs Rb Burn
2-1 vs UR Pyromancer Ascension Storm
2-1 vs UWR Geist Tempo
0-2 vs UW Merfolk

As of 1/28/2013, this deck is no longer legal in Modern. I like to think that WotC banned Bloodbraid Elf because my deck was too cool, but I think it might be because of Jund ;)

How to Play

Attack, attack, and kill until the opponent is dead. Generally you ALWAYS want to cast Bloodbraid Elf if you can, since the opponent can't counter the Cascade part. Usually you should play that unless you need your removal to win the game.

Deck discussion for A Gruuling Battle

Very interesting deck, I like it... The first couple turns look like a race of creatures coming out.. It looks really aggressive. If I could recommend something, Assault strobe is a very aggressive card and very cheap, I bet it would mesh well with this deck =]

If you have time I'm trying to improve my Creature Snag Mill deck, if you could give me any opinions on it I'd appreciate it =]

I like Assault Strobe, but I don't think it works well here since my average creature power is like 3 so I won't get any more value out of it than Lightning Bolt, which is must more versatile.

This is true, but with rancor in here as well it'll be making the opponent sweat a little bit i was thinking, a 3/3 doublestrike is annoying, but a 5/3 trample doublestrike is devastating you know? I might just be partial to assault strobe, I absolutely love that sorcery, It has won countless games for me

I could see that, but I like burn a lot more in most cases. Assualt Strobe could be in my sideboard against BR Burn though. I played against it before and it could've made my win quite a bit easier.

Yea you really can't go wrong with lightning bolt and other burn cards in a red deck. I think just about every red deck I own runs a playset of lightning bolt.

Lightning Bolt should be a part of every red deck that can legally run it (unless it's one of those wacky kind of storm-ish combo decks like Grapeshot or Eggs)
