thx for the input

why would you take bond of faith out? its basically an arrest for a mana less plus its more flexible. Detention sphere is basically the same as the ring, but its 10 dollars each thats why i took it out, but i agree on that.

I completely agree on spectral flight, but i need some damage. What would you recommend for replacement? Would you run arrest plus ring plus detention sphere?

With what would you replace riders?

dont really know about safe passage, i feel like i need something to survive a sudden nuke, but i am not sure if anything else than boros or fast creatures is fast enough. Thats why i also consider something like rapid hybridization

Its a tough decision maybe but i still dont see geralf work. First of all he costs 3 black mana which is somewhat hindering in a non-mono deck. Seconondy the early discard from the ravenous rats or so just can completely cross enemy plans.

A possibility is to rework the deck around the Geralf - Bloodchief combo, but in my opinion, Bloodchief is too slow anyways. what is your expirience there?

you might want to consider changing Geralfs with Ravenous rats

Like it, only the Throatseeker is not fitting, so easy to block/counter

I think crypt ghast is what will make it work. The slow down from the rats should also do work.

Tight deck, I think its incredibly frustrating to play against. I think the biggest weakness are the first two turns where you have literally nothing on the board.
Also if you dont draw Kor or Stalker its pretty much lost (?). You might want to add another playset of creatures in favor of an enchantement.
I can see Spectral Rider or Geist of Saint Traft or even Bruna.
Oh and if there is a way to make also Kor Spiritdancers damage more reliable, that would be awesome as well. I could imagine Spectral flight.

But as I said: awesome deck

I like merfolk deck, wanted to create one myself.
Just some quick advice: The island walk is really what makes your deck, you need to build it up a bit more around that and especially thin it out.

Thus i would consider the following:
- add two more aquitects will ( you need 4, its just perfect)
- reduce to 60 cards: consider removing Augur of Bolas, Maritime Guard, Coralhelm Commander (too expensive somewhat), Merrow Harbringer, Seahunter
- You should increase the size of following creatures to 4: Stonybrook Banneret, Reef Shaman, Merrow Reejerey, Lullmage Mentor)
- I would not use Levitation, try to make islandwalk work, same goes to sleep
- Dont see why you put in Talrands Invocation, are you afraid of flying creatures?
- Dont see Crystal Ball work reliabliy fast
- You need some protection and more counter in some form

would not reccomend to use Krenko, as you have too little goblins and it is too expensive. Also the stalker is nice but the damage is too litle (1 dmg starting from round 3) as you dont have anything to push him, so remove him too. For talrand i dont know, might work but its a bit late as well until it reaches the game.

Apart from that the reliable damage is missing. you might want to add more direct damage spells to abuse both guttersnipe and electromancer. You might want to consider the following cards: Dual Casting, Pillar of Flame, Thunderbolt, Brimstone Volley or also for more utiliy Desperate Ravings.

Lastly, i prefer Kraken Hatchling to Wall of Fire, this way you have no spells with double blue / double red costs which helps you reducing special lands.
