Deck Description

Fun combo with Necrotic Ooze where Grimgrin and Bloodline Keeper in the graveyard means that necrotic ooze can become infinitely large. Plenty of room for tweaking so I am looking for a lot of help for the main deck and the sideboard.

Was considering red for fling as another way to win or Disciple of G something or rather from Innistrad for infinite life. Look forward to the comments!!

Deck discussion for Ew He's Oozing Everywhere

I think Azure Mage is better than Think Twice here, especially against control decks. I'd also think about Black Sun's Zenith to prevent an Aggro rush. Lab Maniac is a longshot. If you start milling yourself with Jace, you have no guarantee that you would draw Lab Maniac; I'd cut Lab Maniac. If your Ghost Quarter is for defense against Kessig Wolf Run, use Spellskite instead.

wow yeah props for the spellskite idea he fits perfect in here. another combo target for the ooze too so even if I mill him. Would you think that taking out the maniac and a doom blade for black sun would be a logical choice? I'll also have to test out azure mage. Might just add another looter and a Jace or something. Making changes later when I'm off my phone. Thanks for the input!! Got anything I should check out for you?

Also, have you considered Sever the Bloodline (as a 1 of instead of doomblade?) -- you can flash it back, it exiles indestructible creatures and sweeps tokens. Even if you decide to keep the Doomblades, I think you are better off mixing Doomblade and GFTT as 3:1 or 2:2 unless you think you're going to play a lot of Tempered Steel decks. If you are going to keep so many looters, think about dropping 1 Looter for Civilized Scholar. Oozes don't transform, so you get to Loot and untap, loot and untap. I dumped Looters from my BUG Ooze deck, but maybe that was a mistake. Just some ideas...

Thanks for the comment. That's a very interesting point about the scholar I really like that idea. Have to see if the turn 3 drop instead of 2 is worth it. Also thanks for mentioning the archivist he's a great choice. And thoughts on how to fit the archivist in?

Also, did you look at Jace's Archivist?

Can you talk a bit about Lunge in this deck? Trying to decide if I want to run it.

well the way I see it having lunge in there almost functions as a tutoring mechanism if he somehow is milled away. It is really a worst case scenario card in most cases however in the sense that it clearly is the one win condition and as such if it it destroyed or countered there isn't a lot left to do. Because it gives haste it can allow you win quickly when your opponent isn't prepared. I will say that I haven't play tested this yet and it is experimental for me atleast but I think it deserves a spot
