It all started when my friend built his knight deck. Just for fun a got all my soldier cards that i have which werent allot and slammed them together to play against the formidable knights. It turned out quit unexpextedly to my advantage by running 2 door of destinies. All my 2 drops come out and with 3 preeminent captains it came out quit nice. The trick is to play preeminent captain once door of destinies is on the field which make all your soldiers buff. I have most of the cards in this deck and the side board is everything i need. so im going to play this deck this weekend for modern.
Just play all the soldiers in your hand and wait for door of destinies before you play preeminent captain. with the card draw from mentor of the meek you will always have something to play, as all your creatures except veteran swordsmith have power 2 or less. The fetches are just in there to filter out the plains faster for more creature draw.
