Deck Description

Just an idea I got from cards I pulled from boosters or had laying around.

How to Play

Use one drops for early damage and counters to keep the field clear. The rings are there to help build up the one drops so they can continue laying down the damage. Talrand helps produce more flyers while Xathrid Gorgon takes care of any creatures who may not have been countered.

Deck discussion for Blue/Black Control

Try cyclonic rift instead of unsummon and forbidden alchemy instead of index. Seems like you have a good attack plan. I'd main deck evil twin too

Thank you for the advice. Evil Twin was one I was on the fence about. Against token decks it has the potential to be a field wipe, but I want to keep as much mana available as possible for syncopate.

Definitely a good idea to keep counter magic open but evil twin is practically a counter to any creature already so I wouldn't let counter magic sway you to much on that one.

I'll definately squeeze the twin in there. I looked at forbidden alchemy, but index works a little better for delver of secrets.

You can only have 15 in the sideboard. Maybe drop a few counters for removal. what you can counter you can remove later. thats why U/B control can be so nasty.

The sideboard is less of an actual sideboard and more a place for ideas that were going to be there, but didn't make the cut at the time. I just didn't want to forget about them while I was play testing.

I'll maybe switch out unsummon for murder or bone splinters, but that's what the play testing process is for.

I just made a deck very similar to this. Your deck has really helped me with some ideas, thank you.
