Discarding is done at the end of your turn during the cleanup step. The problem was he had Omniscience on the field and a good 30 cards and hand. I played about seven cards that turn and he countered them all. Plus he had Ulamog on the field and the turn before he made everyone shuffle all cards from each graveyard back into each players deck along with their hands and basically restarted the game. Even if I had been able to force something through he already had an infinite draw engine on the board to make everyone else deck themselves.

Nope, I wish.We were drawing 7 cards for each spell we cast thanks to Forced Fruition. Draw step was pretty much draw 8 cards as well because of Kami and Font of Mythos plus copy artifact and phyrexian metamorph, I ended up playing a large number of spells, until there were about three left in my deck then I cast Windfall. Everyone would have ended up discarding and drawing 83 cards if he hadn't forced me to draw until I was decked before the spell resolved.
Dalkan,I was only able to get in one game with Mimeo on Friday but it was definitely interesting the way the deck worked. Unfortunately it was only a three person game and one person was playing Kami of the Crescent Moon so things were...crazy. The Kami deck was full proxies with stuff like force of will and as many howling mine effects as possible. By the end of the game I ended up with 83 cards in my hand because of various effects on the board and was decked out without really able to do much. I was able to get Mimeo out once though as a copy of artisan of kozilek with 6 counters on him but he only lasted a turn. I will say the downside of this deck right now is getting enough stuff into the graveyard early in the game to get Mimeo out.
Honestly, since I bought the precon I have only really changed one card and I haven't played the deck myself. I will try to play the deck tonight and see how it goes.
