Deck Description

Something that's not Counter-Sliver. A nod to the old days when I used to play a solid stack of slivers with great success. Hit hard, hit fast. With the cavern protecting against counters and the crystalline protecting against spells it can lead to an endless supply of damage. The achilles heel to the whole show is drawing slivers fast enough with the left over mana from mana echoes or gemhide. Legion is usually the final word.

Edits:
2x Stroke of genius replaced with 2x Genesis Wave
4x Heart Sliver replaced with 4x Foresee
2x Genesis Wave replaced with 2x Descendants' Path
Sidelined 2x Queens for 2x Megantic Sliver and 2x Mana Echoes for 2x Descendants' Path. Evens out play, and has a synergy with a foresee in hand.
1x Plated and 1x Forsee replaced with 2x Preordain.
Land Adjusted based on cards I had on hand.

How to Play

You can play this deck with 2 lands or in some cases none. It's meant really to do one thing, dominate the battlefield and take away life from the opponent at an alarming rate. So that's pretty much where I start empty my starting hand and hope for the best! Ideally it'd has been killing on turns 4 or 5 fairly consistently with plated, heart, lord, lord, winged(galerider). But games where I'm allowed to fester a lot longer usually end in my favor as well, with a stalemate on the battlefield coming down to a stroke of genius leading to a legion drop or queen combo. I play with a fairly small core group of folks (about 5-6) so the sideboard is mostly used for white, artiact, or a kavu deck with an eldrazi monument that's been a hoot to play against. I feel the gemhides are just dead sometimes and some games I find they would be better suited for spot removal or card drawing, but other games they've been the MVP and have lead to massive upsets. The 3 Stars of the Deck would be Crystalline, Reflecting Pool and Legion. Sub in the harmonics for the megantics and 2 foresees if need be.

Deck discussion for Hive Havoc

you should swap out [Stroke of Genius] with [Genesis Wave] because it puts whatever you draw straight onto the field. ive used it myself and its a nice way to really make your opponent feel about an inch big when you drop anywhere from 5 to 15 slivers at once. other than that, good lineup

Looks like a fun deck, with all the low cost slivers have you thought about adding Virulent Sliver?

I ran them for a while in place of plated, and if they added infect instead of poisonous they probably would have stayed. The poisonous doesn't scale with their damage so they might be a 4/4 but the opponent still only gets 1 poison counter if he gets hit so I found I could deal damage faster than I could stack poison. I switched to the plated because they added little more survivability off the start but I have been known to keep a playset handy, just in case.
