Deck Description

Ever wanted a motley army or shambling undead, bloodthirsty vampires, and all-consuming oozes? Of course you have, everyone does. Well, mostly the oozes.

I started this deck thinking about clones, and Progenitor Mimic in particular, but I didn't want to build an EDH deck. Inexorable Blob and Call the Bloodline came to mind, and the synergy between them felt good. A little more token gen, more Delirium benefits, a few substitutions to get Delirium online, and we've got a deck.

Hangarback Walker can be cast for the body; for the tokens; or, for the low low price of 0, can take a detour through the battlefield and straight to the graveyard to put you halfway to Delirium off the bat. Dead Weight is great removal for Delirium decks, dropping a small creature and adding an Enchantment to your graveyard. Evolving Wilds is less about mana fixing here, and more about getting a Land in the ground, pun intended.

Suggestions are always welcome.

How to Play

Half token deck, half Delirium deck, and half a nice day makes two halves of a deck and a nice sentiment. Deathcap Cultivator was an all-star in my prerelease deck, helping to keep the battlefield tied up once Delirium was online, and was usually the prime target for my opponents' removal even without deathtouch, saving my other, often larger creatures from the same fate. It also doubles as a mana dork in two colors. Cast it early, but if it's a decision between the Cultivator and Call the Bloodline, Bloodline is usually the way to go. Discarding a card to fuel Delirium while getting a 1/1 lifelink creature in the process is just what this deck wants.

Getting Delirium online fast shouldn't be too much of a problem for this deck. Between Call the Bloodline, Evolving Wilds, and casting Hangarback Walker for zero, you should be there by turn four, or even three. When Delirium does hit, Inexorable Blob becomes a generator for decently sized 3/3 creature tokens.

On the off chance you do dump mana into Hangarback, when it dies it gets you even more token creatures, these with evasion. Perfect for when you feel you're ready to drop a Second Harvest and double your board state. A nice ragtag token army should close out most of your games.
