I play tested it. The lightnings keep the board clear while you need it to be; the life gain counters any damage you have taken. Tajic is an indestructable blocker that swings for massive damage with firemanes or Aurelia. Balefire liege with lightning helix is 6 damage 6 life gain. Warleaders is 7 each. Ends up building to massive ammounts. Play test it out using a random deck; draw a sample hand and play against another deck. It works consistently well; funny because I wasn't making this as a serious deck. And nah no Ajanis; he fits in but I'm tryng to keep with the theme. Balefire is already not ravnicaish; but he just works so perfectly.
Though I will look into getting cheaper creatures that appeal to me with the theme.
you make a good point but I would just be worried about goblin deck or other weenie decks that can get alot out very quickly and might be able to over run you.

also i realise it is sort of a shits and giggle deck but ive been mulling over a deck with a very similar theme and been trying to figure out the best way to do it
