Deck discussion for Dying is too mainstream

Parasaline + Faith's Reward. Elixer of Immortality could help... Hope this helps. Check out my elf deck.

I would say to add some offense, because you have nothing but defense here. Maybe some plated slagwurms, seeing as how this is a slower deck, the 7 mana card. But it is hard to get rid of because of the hexproof. The other thing I might say to add is some anti-mill. Maybe either elixir of immortality or wheel of sun and moon.

The wheel is actually pretty nice, I'll add a couple right now.
As for the offense, I tought the Visionary would be enough. Sure it's only a 2/2 but I'd likely be immortal at that point. To tell you the truth, I was more worried about the opposite since there is no way to defend myself the early turns.
Thanks again for the heads up Kazzong

Etched Monstrosity may not be a great card but in combination with Melira it makes a large blocker/swinger, for only 5 mana

Never thought of tagging the two. I liked the idea so I turned it into a deck. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=381488

That sure is a great combo, I shall find place for 1. Luckily I can tutor it with both worldly and enlightened.

I'm sure you would jump off your seat when I say "Put in some SCOUR!". Yes, Scour. That would make this deck even more deadly. And the Title makes me laugh so much. I love that you put in more life lines like Melira + Phyrexian unlife. But I think you should use Around 2 Story circles instead to save more space for cards. A little risky but more well-rounded.
Enchanted Evening + Peraselene + Faith's Reward is a little hard to pull off. But it would be damn epic once you made it. You can keep that combo for a lot of fun.
But I would suggest to:
Enchanted Evening + Soltari Visionary
Enchanted Evening + Scour
Enchanted Evening + Qasali Pridemage
Enchanted Evening + Harmonic Sliver
Enchanted Evening + Elvish Hexhunter
To make it a little faster.
Overall, I really liked it. Another Unique deck from Razka. Keep 'em coming!

Hope you could give me short advices on your free time on these:

Btw, you could add in some Primordial Hydra or Tarmagoyf to make up during those times where you still couldn't get the combo cards.

Another thing, use Cleansing Meditation instead of Paraselene + Faith's Reward. That would save you a lot of space. Thanks again~

Damn, I got too many ideas overflowing now. Check out these cards:
Spring Cleaning
Primeval Light
Yavimaya Enchantress
Claiming Verse
Cleansing Meditation
Fructuring Gust / Multani's Decree (Not so good though)

I also think that you should add Elspeth, Knight-Errant or any Ajani.

If you could find a way to cast Aura Thief. Then that's fun too. ^^,

For a faster kill throw in Soltari Champion, no need for creatures to attack alone, they'll all get +1/+1. Or, throw in Noble Hierarch and splash some blue for Rafiq of the Many, double strike means double damage and double enchantment destruction. With both in play you'll be hitting for 8 damage/ turn with your pesky 2/2 visionary. If you're already splashing blue, why not have an additional attack phase? Toss down finest hour and do 20 damage/4 permanents per turn!

Twenty damage from a single 2/2 in one turn?

Yes.

Note - The above suggestion would work best in multiplayer where you not only have time to build up, but also need to kill more than just one opponent. Beware people focusing you when they catch on to what you're doing! Make sure you have story circle out first!

Also, strong suggestions - Primeval Light and Calming Verse.

What's the reason for having the Qasail in there instead of another Soltari?

Final verdict: This deck is DIRT! Which is to say, AMAZING AND WILL MAKE YOUR OPPONENTS CRY AS THEY DIE A SLOW AND HUMILIATING DEATH!

Now for some self promotion (please make comments or suggestions for my decks, if you have no suggestions, blatant praise will be humbly accepted).:

http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=381549 - Fat Fat Fatty, based around cheating out the biggest most unfair creatures and big creature combos in the game. It wins in multiplayer. Lots. 10 points to whoever suggests the best 40th creature card for the side deck, and I'm challenging people to build similar decks here. - http://forums.mtgvault.com/showthread.php?t=7276

http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=381605 - A combo (not infinite) deck that can wipe a multiplayer table just by declaring one attacker, your creatures don't even have to deal combat damage, the table dies during the declare attackers phase. Also has insane lifegain and card draw given the proper card combos.

http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=381596 - Mono black zombes with Deathtouch/First Strike/Swampwalk/Regenerate! Black plays like green!

http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=381965 The most recent variation on my first ever deck, mono green enchantments. With the right cards out, you can play your ENTIRE deck in one turn, then swing and watch your opponents vaporize!

http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=381598 - The only Modern legal deck I've posted thus far, based around 1cmc creatures playing quickly, maybe pumping out a few tokens, then boosting them up with OVERWHELMING STAMPEDE!

This might sound extremely stupid, but I don't feel like splashing. Those are great suggestions, but I feel it would be more aggressive. This deck is instead born to have spare time and win calmly.
And no, I don't really know why I had a Qasari instead of a Visionary, probably because of exalted, but in the end the Soltari is way more useful.
Primeval light was already in the deck, you probably didn't see it. :P

Thank you again Beowulf.

Yeah, I was about to correct my comment about Primeval Light, but I think Calming Verse does a better job.

I built my version of the deck. I took out story circle because, with Unlife and Melira, story circle becomes useless. Same thing with Ghostly Prison. I would recommend taking out both of those and just adding a 4th unlife and Melira to get the combo going ASAP, that or two Noble Hierarchs for mana accel and cheap exalted.

I def play aggressive, you've seen and commented on my decks, you know it. Your deck looks better suited to single player. In multiplayer, if you take your time once your strat is complete, someone eventually finds a solution to your strategy, shatters it, and you can't usually rebuild it.

Anyway, my version of the deck with blue, minus lands, because it's late here and I'm tired.

Two things I'd like to point out. 1) I see enchanted evening as a flaw in the deck. I don't really understand why it's here because Sterling Grove doesn't save them from board wipe. Back to Nature would wreck your deck, and it's just a two casting.

What I did with a deck like this is I played Cho-Manno and Pariah.

Story Circle is great, I'd use more.

Use two more Ajani Goldmane, and add in 4 Wall of Reverence. Read Ajani's last ability, and Wall of Reverence, if you don't know this will double your life per turn, thus doubling the creatures power you get from Ajani's last ability. Eventually, after about five turns your pretty unstoppable even if you just had as little as 2 life left when you get the combo off.

Hope I helped. :]

Oh, and since your using green, and it's not really considered super op because well, hey, they put it back in standard - Rancor it up. Use two or three and you can swing for game with your fatty avatar. :]

Well I kinda see your point, but I'm not worried about board wipes. First off, if I have enchanted evening on the field, board wipes wipe the opponent too. He really doesn't get any advantage.
I on the other hand could always sideboard a couple replenish and recover faster.
Not to mention, enchanted evening help me with some aggressive play with yavimaya enchantress, soltari visionary and primeval light.

As for Ajani + Wall of Reverence, I see where you are going and I like it, but this deck has taken another direction and this would be a total revamping that I've got no heart to do.
But I might very well make another deck based on those cards :)

Thanks for commenting by!

nice idea, that covers its ass well. The lack of attack makes it somewhat vulnerable, as you'll be having to slowly whittle away opponents life.

And while you've protected things, it is still vulnerable to non-targetting spells.

I'd splash blue, and include 4* aura thief, as well as a few academy rectors.

Hope this helps

Interesting, but since I need quite a bit to set everything up, reshuffling everything would do me more harm than good. Thanks for the idea tho :)

How about Sigil of the Empty Throne? That would pump out 4/4 angels for you while you set up your combo...

0

Really not bad, unfortunately it has a prohibitive cost. By the time I lay the sigil and pop up angels, I should already have the immortality combo + enchanted evening.
But I'm definitely sideboarding a couple. Thanks!
