Deck Description

Deck made for the "Sacola" casual format in Brazil: a legacy based format with a $10 USD budget limit based on Star City Games NM prices (not counting lands). The deck does not possess a sideboard due to the format's budget restrictions.

This deck focuses on both weaker and bulkier trampling creatures that get powered up by spells to constantly attack the opponent, using ramp and aggro to stomp him/her down with brute force.

How to Play

Garruk's Companion and Scab-Clan Mauler are the meat and potatoes of the deck. They'll be your foot soldiers to smash down blockers and get a few punches in, paving the way for hard hitters like Cryptborn Horror and Rubblebelt Raiders, or Ghor-Clan Rampagers - who can also be used to buff your attackers, together with Giant Growth.

Skyshroud Archers will help remove your biggest threat in the form of anti-air batteries, and Lightning Strike will help with the removal task - or make sure you can use the Bloodthirst ability of Scab-Clan Mauler. Gruul Charm will help the Archers to maintain air superiority.

Druid of the Anima and Rampant Growth will help you get much needed mana for higher cost spells or speed up larger creatures. A 7-mana Apocalypse Hydra will come down as a 10/10. You can then later use it to power up the Overwhelming Stampede, giving +10/+10 and trample to your entire troops. The Gruul charm will make sure the enemy cannot block you, or protect from creature-stealing tricks.

Remember: the r*pe train has no brakes. Run over the enemy and smash him/her to bits.
