There's no real thought behind this. I thought it'd be funny to use a Murktide shell to make a Kiki-Jiki deck.Ignore the part where the site says that Preordain is illegal in Modern, MTGVault just hasn't updated its banlist in a while it would seem. But neither has WotC despite some cards needing it pretty badly.
Much like a Murktide deck, stall out and dig through with cards like Preordain, DRC and Expressive Iteration in order to find the combo of Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and Deceiver Exarch.Since the Deceiver has a dumpy and Flash, it can also be used to stall out against other threats, especially the turn before a Kiki is played. Bonus points into tricking your opponent into thinking you're playing a Murktide deck before unleashing Kiki.

Out of interest.Which cards did you carve away to make room for kiki/exarc?I'd argue that being a "secret combo" would make the deck faster, and that would mean that "slow" cards would be better to kick out.

Mutktide is the most obvious answer. Other than that, it's arguable that either Fury or Subtlety were cut since I see them a lot in the deck lists for Murktide.But I wouldn't say that anything was necessarily cut. I added the Kiki/Exarch combo first, then looked at a couple of Murktide decks and went off my experience versing them, and just added their greatest hits like Expressive Iteration, Mishra's Bauble and DRC. Kept going until the deck was done! Well, I was kinda stuck towards the end until I remembered that Preordain got unbanned and is a Sorcery, so better chances getting Delerium instead of going with Brainstorm.
I think dragon rage chaneller could use more enchantments, and possibly one more artifact.Some of it could be brought in from the sb.How about a single copy of urza's saga ? It would aid two of your sideboard strategies.
While the search is great on Urza's Saga, it only tapping for colourless and the token being useless, in a deck with such heavy pip requirements for how low the actual land count is. And it only searches out a Mishra's Bauble mainboard. I admit that filtering out the deck is part of the gameplan for a deck like this, but Saga is a little too specific in what it does to slot in here.And yeah, it does help find the Tormod's Crypt, but that's a very specific scenario that I'd need, and there are a lot of situations where I see myself searching for it with the Saga the turn after an opponent Delves into a Murktide or has already scammed me out of my hand.
