The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Deck Description

Aight now my idea was to have some sort of infinite combo with liquimetal but couldn't come up with anything so i just threw in some voltaic keys. I also couldn't find a card to help me search through my library to find an artifact card. I'm looking for some recommendations on a combo to use liquimetal to turn my opponents whole board into artifacts and search through my library for artifacts. Thanks and it will be much appreciated.

How to Play

How the deck is supposed to work is you use liquimetal to change as many of your opponents creatures, enchantments, and lands into artifacts to begin wiping the board and damaging them with your red destruction spells.

Deck discussion for Sucks to be an artifact

Ancient stirrings can help find your liquimetal coating.

Ancient Stirrings is the best green search for colourless. At best it can get you either Liquimetal Coating or Voltaic Key, at worst it gets you a land (lands are colourless)

Ancient Grudge is one of the best Artifact hate cards for a deck like this.

Myr Landshaper is a worse Liquimetal Coating, but it could help to include a few for redundancy purposes.

Just had an idea. Using Liquimetal Coating, you can copy anything with Phyrexian Metamorph.

Thank y'all for the recommendations. I did take the advise on the ancient stirrings and ancient grudge. Also that Phyrexian Metamorph helps a bunch with. this deck

Scratch that took out the metamorph and put in portal. Because of the price wish i could find cheap replacement for ancient stirrings.

Mycosynth Lattice (although not budget) it is capable of changing their board. Yes it has a high cast cost, so 1 or maybe 2 would be used. This with Vandalblast is nasty. Just saying Mycosynth Lattice and Hellkite Tyrant (while you have 6 mana) are a great combo.

The Mycosynth Lattice idea actually requires a different build. Maybe something similar to this:

4 Arbor Elf + 4 Utopia Sprawl (and maybe 2-4 Birds of Paradise) to ramp into Mycosynth Lattice, Hellkite Tyrant, and Vandalblast's Overload.
4 Ancient Stirrings to "search" for Mycosynth Lattice.
4 Faithless Looting to dig for any missing combo pices.
4 Mycosynth Lattice
3 Hellkite Tyrant
4 Vandalblast
4 Lightning Bolt, because Lightning Bolt.
4 Mizzium Mortars to do a one sided board sweep while assembling the combo.

Search for something else I came across a card that could be useful here: Viridian Revel. With this out, anything you destroy after turning it into an artifact would draw you a card.

How about Shrapnel Blast?

If you go back to Darksteel, replace the liquimetal coating with Neurok Transmuter. Does the same without tapping. 1 blue per creature ... I'm not too familiar with recent sets.
