Blue White control. Flexible sideboard for certain deck match up. If you're on a budget you can use Sun Titan instead of Gideon (I recommend to acquire this over the Jace.) and Small Jace for big Jace for the meantime. Debating if I should put spreading seas in the list but do not know which cards from the sideboard will be switched out from it. Spell pierce over mana leak for answering any counters placed upon you. You're able to have multiple plays better knowing that most players assume 1 open mana for controls cant do anything (Not anymore.) Sword of Feast and Famine lets you play a set then have open lands for controls on your opponents turn. Sylvok Lifestaff is for vampire decks which suppress Kalastria Highborn and 10 or less abilities.

For standard I usually like Dispel better than Spell Pierce, it's just that FU for the mirror.

Oh, also this is a Control build, so a play set of Stone Forge is kind of overkill...
I chose spell pierce due so I could be able to counter more than just counters like enchantments/planeswalkers/etc. But maybe 3 Stoneforge Mystic instead?
Three is about right yeah, it depends on the meta though. Also, 26 lands is suicide. I strongly advise dropping down to at least 24
