The "Counterspell" deck is a merfolk deck running 31 counterspells. Every time an opponent plays a card with board presence, counter it. By doing so, Lullmage Mentor will make more merfolk, and the merfolk will eventually be able to counter spells on their own. Without being able to play cards, your opponent will have trouble dealing with an army of tokens or a huge draining whelk.
