Deck Description

General goal of the deck is to abuse enter/exit effects on cards like Fiend Hunter and Oblivion Ring, while controlling the game until you can grind your opponent to death. Would love suggestions on way to make it move faster.

How to Play

Remember that with the ruling with Oblivion Ring, if it gets removed from the field before the first effect resolves, you get to exile that card permanently. Same goes for Fiend Hunter and Detention sphere, as all three of these cards have their effects broken into two parts. Cloudshift, Mastermind and Into the Roil all work to cause this sort of loophole to occur. With any of those, Fiend Hunter can exile on card, then come back to the field to exile another.

The Azorius cards also benefit from re-entering the battlefield, and help keep the game grindy until you can gain enough mana to start pulling off your combos, and Isochron scepter let's you pull it off more consistently with Cloudshift or Into the Roil imprinted..

If you want your friends to hate you, put Silence or Mana Leak on Isochron scepter.

Deck discussion for After Duel Detention!

Neat deck! You might add Azorius Chancery for better mana balance. Other than that, I think it's very slick!

Vensor doesn't work in the way Vedalken Mastermind or Cloudshift do. Planeswalker abilities are sorcery speed so O Ring, D Sphere or Fiend Hunter would have to resolve before activating Vensor. However Boomerang or Disperse do. Better yet Into the Roil and Cryptic Command also do this with more versatility mid to late game.

Crap, I'm really not sure how I didn't realise that. I dropped both Vensers, and shuffled my Deck around a bit. I took your recommendation and added a playset of Into the Roil, as well as dropping two oblivion rings, as they were getting cloggy, and added in two Isochron Scepters and Supreme verdicts. Still aiming for moderate budget, but I think this will play a bit better too.

Thanks for the tips!
