Deck Description

I wanted to create a mainly aggro deck with a few later game options. With a large number of 1 cost apostle's, you can start accruing lots of them quickly. Sacc'ing them to increase the early swings of Bloodthrone Vampire can quickly put on the hurt, and a Falkenrath Aristocrat can finish the game quickly. A Master of Cruelties coinciding with burn/denial can leave the opponent in awe. If these other options do not show themselves, accruing enough apostle's can even lead to using their sacrifice to bring out an early Griselbrand. Ravenous Demon's transformation will quickly decimate your opponent, especially combined with an Essence Harvest after the swing. Overall, this deck has many options.

How to Play

Laying down early Shadowborn Apostle's is a great start. In my opinion, if the opponent sees you playing these in a large number, they will immediately assume the demon sac trick. It is quite easy to blindside the opponent with the Vampire aggro side to the deck, especially in game 1 settings. Against high aggro decks, using a combination of blocking with the early Apostle's and Removal should be enough to get you through the crucial moments, allowing you to build up to your powerhouses.

A good trick when attacking with the Vamps is to also attack with the Apostle's. You can pull blockers away from the Vamps depending on the situation, and if they decide to do so simply sac them and give them to whichever vamp is unblocked.
