Deck Description

A deck based on exploiting Gifts Ungiven, by only finding to cards (a big creature and unburial rites) and forcing them into the graveyard, then flashing back rites and bring the creature into play. Sideboard transforms into a Shape Anew combo, bringing in a Blightsteel Colossus from a Darksteel Citadel.

The breakdown is something like this:
Delver/Lynx: hold off agro and possibly get a few beats in.
Trinket Mage: finds your answer artifact in Gifts (chalice by default) and the citadel in Anew
Archangel/Iona: find only one of these with Gifts, whichever suits the situation
Chalice: default answer to a lot of decks
Condemn/Departure: dealing with creatures that are already out
Pierce/Snare/Deprive/Leak: Control cards, these are locked in unless you adjust the sideboard. Adjust according to your local meta as you could very well be stuck with them.
Scroll: Fetches Gifts or a counter.
See Beyond: getting something you need in your library back in there (big creatures/rites)
Rites: The only other card you fetch 1 of with Gifts. It's forced into the graveyard and flashed back to reanimate whichever creature you dumped.
Fortress/Island/Plains/gemstone: Manabase, can be fixed to suit your needs
Buried Ruin: getting that artifact back you need
Tolaria West: Transmutes for 0 (grabs chalice in gifts/citadel in anew)

SB:
Citadel: Artifact to Shape Anew
Crypt: graveyard hate, fetchable with tolaria or mage
Collar: big agro hate, fetchable with Mage
Parasite: plainswalker hate, fetchable with mage
Needle: hates on a lot of things, fetchable with mage
See Beyond: sideboarded in with Anew
Shape Anew: you should know how to use this already
Archon: another creature for Gifts
Inkwell: yet another creature for gifts
Blightsteel: Used in Anew

A few notes:
I do not have 4 gifts ungiven, hence the need to run a tutor. It does tutor nicely though if you already have a gifts in hand.
Lynx is VERY questionable, it could probably be filled with something better, possibly Snapcaster, but I feel my meta is going to be very agro and it drops for 1 white in the chance you draw a plains in the opening hand.
I have Condemn instead of Path. That is a personal decision because I would rather have them gain life than have them get a land.
Silent departure is used because it can be flashed back. While it may be slower, it reduces the amount of removal cards needed. It played well in standard, because if you have the mana to gifts/anew, you'll have the mana to flash it back. If I later decide to incorporate snapcaster, I will most likely change it to vapor snag.
Just be careful when sideboarding, because you need to completely remove one combo when you place the other one in. It would be a shame to shape anew your citadel, only to hit a chalice (for 0) because you didn't take it out.
Here is how I sideboard when switching combo.
Archangel & Iona -> 2 Blightsteel
Chalice -> Citadel
2 Gifts/2 Scroll -> 4 Shape Anew
2 Rites -> 2 See Beyond
You can shape anew into an Inkwell if you really feel like it.
Before I hear an argument, here is how and why gifts works like this. You are searching your library (which is not a public zone) for cards with requirements (unique names). You can fail to find 4 cards, which you want to only find 2. This is exploited by finding 1 big/useful creature and 1 unburial rites. 2 cards must go to the graveyard, which will be the only 2 to chose from, allowing you to flash back rites and bring in the creature.
I'm not quite sure what slot to put the sphix of the steel wind in, or if it will be run at all. I'm going to explore the meta a little more and see if it is suitable to replace the hex parasite.
