Does the Gyre Sage usually prove useful for you? It seems like she wouldn't often have enough counters on her quickly enough to make a big difference. I haven't played with the deck, though. That's just my impression.

Also, this deck is screaming for a few Bioshifts.

Any deck with Epic Experiment AND Aurelia's Fury gets a one-up from me, even if that means I have horrible taste in win-cons.

Just an idea:

When playing against a deck where hexproof is not as necessary (say, aggro), You might want to run Reverent Hunter instead of maybe Alpha Authority, and a couple of Bioshift instead of Ranger's Guile. Maybe even Primordial Hydra instead of... Nylea? In any case, this could pretty easily become a beastly +1/+1 counter-based deck if you so desired.

Suggestion: Replace a few buffs with more Bloodrush creatures. It will beef up your creature base without affecting buffs too much, eg., 2x Slaughterhorn for 2x Giant Growth.

NVM, I see you are already familiar with the Dreadnought, heh heh. Your $4k legacy deck is something else. I hope it works well for you.

Yeah, Treasured Find and Grisly Salvage work well together.

I'll look at your EDH deck on my lunch break. I'm just coming back to the game after about a dozen years away, so I have yet to delve into the Commander format at all. Dunno if I'll be able to offer any advice, but I'll make a thoughtful face and nod my head for you ;)

On a side note, this becomes a decent casual Legacy deck by replacing Hunted Horror with Phyrexian Dreadnought. It actually makes it into play before being sacked (unlike Death's Shadow), and its triggered ability is negated with Torpor Orb. So boss!

I've been fiddling with a Golgari Scavenge deck, too. Thanks for showing me Torpor Orb!

I'd be more comfortable playing this without some of the one-ofs. No enchantment creatures, Oblivion Stone, or Gaze of Granite. Instead, I'd add Putrefy, Hero's Downfall, or Doomblade. The others either take too long to become viable for my taste, or stand too high a chance of messing with your own stuff (again, for my taste).

Here are some other cards I've been considering, myself:
Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord
Corpsejack Menace
Primordial Hydra
Golgari Charm
Grisly Salvage

Good luck!

Seconded. It's such an impressive way to get your counter-bearers through a wall of blockers. Especially Fabled Hero. I'm using it with Warriors' Lesson, too. Card advantage in an aggro deck has quite a nice ring to it.

I like how the Voices and the Lions are just there to be removal targets with benefits. Hilarious, clever, and effective. Ranger's Guile might be useful in a pinch, in case you can't find your Scout or level up your Lion. Maybe Brave the Elements instead, so you can use it as blocker bypass, too. I liked it regardless.

Changed mine around, & got rid of the dual lands for now. I'm thinking it's still to eclectic to be effective. Yours looks more streamlined and is probably more reliable, too. Mind taking a look? It's my only public deck ATM.

They won't, but it usually enables your whole army to bypass all potential blockers. Gods Willing is in there for the Pro-color + Heroic Trigger.

Dude, I JUST posted a similar deck like an hour ago. Bizarre. It's almost identical, except I wasn't shooting for the "budget" tag.

What do you think of Warrior's Lesson and Bioshift for this deck?

Would Trading Post be of any use? It might be worth it just so you could name the deck "Goatbomb".

This looks really solid and fun. I'm not loving the Rollicker. Maybe Madcap Skills instead? Doesn't really fit the THIS IS SPARTA theme, but then neither does the Rollicker itself. I'm gonna hafta give this a try soon.

Titan's Strength instead of Brute Force? Since you're planning to fling it anyway, the 2 extra toughness won't make much difference, and the Scry 1 is an easy way to help get your draws early-game.
