Two things going: Creature lock via Gwafa Hazid, Unsummon; and then I have the blue/white creatures which I can buff up to be fairly strong. Screws with enemy creatures, keeping my guys alive, while my flyers soar over defenders. Yes, it does have a fairly low mana curve (almost everything is a 2 drop), but this helps because I want to be able to always use Gwafa's ability if possible. Free, redundant Pacifism is too good to ignore.

I'd like to cut down on the cards in this deck, I think. I also want to increase the deck's ability to do damage.

Check your mana curve. It is heavily stacked on 2, so the best way to cut down on deck size would be first to get rid of some lands. Hope that helps
I cut down the 5 drops and cut out some mana. Looks good to me now.
