I really wish this was legal in standard!

I love me some creatureless decks : ) +1. The only thing I would suggest are 4x Steam Vents and 4x Sulfur Falls. If you really wanna get crazy with the dual lands then you could add Izzet Boilerworks or Izzet Guildgate but I'd recommend the Izzet Boilerworks

Maybe Goblin Electromancer would reduce the costs ? And Goblin Flectomancer will redirect spells as well. I built a deck around redirections and controller changes, maybe you can check it out (http://www.mtgvault.com/jujulatortue/decks/hadnt-expected-that/). I also suggest Reroute against annoying abilities

This looks like one of the most annoying decks to play against. I wish I could convince myself to play outside of Modern; this looks sweet!

I don't understand why you're playing so many cards like Redirect, as they don't actually copy the spell do they, they just change the targets? So surely you'd just be wasting 2 mana to redirect a spell at the same person?

I think it's for some more control elements. You can redirect spells they cast, so it's like using a spell (of any CMC) of theirs at 2cmc on your account.
For instance, hypothetically, if they had a cad that might wipe your entire board, you could instead choose a new target (them) and ruin them.
It's a really underrated card, I've always felt.

the purpose of redirecting spells is to prevent negative effects like lightning bolt hitting me and then it his my opponent who played it. any positive effects like gaining life for my opponent could be redirected to me gaining life. this deck uses my opponent's strengths against them.

Oh okay doke! Fair enough they are amazing cards, I run a few Redirect in my Blue/Black control. I thought you were trying to use them to double your manipulation spell! Hahahaha Rookie error...

FYI: I'm not the deck's creator. :p Just a fan of Redirect. I don't run it in any of my main decks, but I have it sideboarded on a few (or rather I SHOULD) for those decks that rely on a lot of targeting spells.
It's a very circumstantial card, so it isn't always worth throwing in, unfortunately.

One of my favorite uses for the card is when a spell I've cast is interrupted by my opponent hexproofing or shrouding one of his creatures from me... It costs a bit more to actually use the spell, but it guarantees I'm not wasting my mana.

Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded would be a nice addition to this deck, his -6 ability would fit well with your theme and it can easily end the game
