Deck Description

THERE WAS "-SCAPE!" Seriously folks, stop getting with the times. Magic back in the day was about 200% more fun than it is now. Remember when there were only 6 card types? Remember when there was a difference between Insants and Interrupts? Didn't think so. So before you go saying, "Jund forever!" or "Grixis owns all!" just remember that Thunderscape and Nightscape came first, be thankful, and shut up.

Deck discussion for Before Jund, Esper, Bant, Gixis, and Naya...

I have some of those familiars, as well as some of the apprentices, but I hadn't seen the masters before, probably because I joined just after those, I think. I will whole-heartedly agree that older cards were, and still are, better. My favorite example? Counterspell vs. any spell that counters spells in standard. Or some white lifegain cards I use frequently: 2-cost/5-life, 3-cost/6-life that also cycles for 2 and gains me 2 life. Both at common. Nothing comes close now.

well i agree back in the day where i had to get my mother to drive me to germany cuz you couldn´t get magic in denmark that where the days, but now well over 10 years later. the cards are still fun and the game hasimproved and moved on so massively that at this point it is perfect for a new player to start his magic history. i know that all the old cards where more fun, but thenew cards are rly ALOT of fun to. the standart right now is realy boring but i am sure that after world wake this will get some new things going.. jund is a good deck(hard to beat) naya well 2*that(it has 4 baneslayers you can´t make a bad deck with baneslayer) but there is still some realy fun decks out there. i myself have chosen the bushwahker and it has been along time since i have had a deck that was that fun... also i am an orginizer and the players of today are the same as before they just have so much more to help them(first off they can buy the cards in denmark:)) also the game is just so freash. there are loads of decks out there that beat jund.. the only reason that jund is one of the best is cuz it is so stable.

but nice deck non the less. :D

Oh, I'm not saying anything bad about the new cards. They rock. I'm just sick of "Jund this" and "Esper that." Call me an old codger...

I personally use The planes names when referring to a tri-colour deck, is easier to say bant than to say white-blue-green, just like it is easier to say rakdos than red-black, or sunburst than penta-colour. (if i have to refer to the deck by mechanic then it would be exalted for bant etc.)
