First off thank you for looking at my deck. I always like having a second set of eyes look at it. And i understand what you mean i just have looked at this several times and haven't seen the mana curve being that big of a problem, maybe a small one but not one that i can't live through. Planar Portal would not be the worst of ideas for that purpose, it will also allow you to get any burn card you need out of your deck.
