The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Haven't seen a good STANDARD Dragon deck in a while, so I decided to give it a go. Will be updated once Gatecrash comes out to include 4 Stomping Grounds and whatever else I find.
Haven't decided on a good sideboard, either.

Suggestions always welcome and appreciated. :)

Deck discussion for Dragon's Descent

You probably don't need 4 Cavern of Souls. Have you thought about Slumbering Dragon? It may keep opponents from attacking you early since you have so little protection during the early game. Archwing Dragons may be a nice addition as well since they are a little more difficult to kill.

The first draft of this deck actually did have Slumbering Dragons in it. I took them out after I played a few other decks and they either didn't show up until turn 5 or they'd get killed off/bounced right before they got enough counters to do anything. I looked at Archwing over the Whelps. Still deciding if I like the bouncing back thing. *Would* be a harder target with Caverns on board...

Somberwald Sage? I know it doesn't work with your elves-as-mana theme but it enables the following:

Turn 1: Forest, Arbor Elf
Turn 2: Land, Somberwald Sage by tapping Arbor Elf
Turn 3: Land (Preferably a Mountain), Balefire Dragon
