Personally, I would be playing white black, because white has a lot more ways of gaining life. Then I would just turn it into damage with sanguine bond.

If you want to stick with just black, add exquisite blood to it.
Of course I can take this with the ultimate/illegal combo. Angel's Grace+staying power
That will stop any deck AND it is legal in Vintage/Legacy
Yeah I would deffintley play white/black for the extort because the goal of this deck is nicking at them with 1 life continually when creatures come out.
