The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Deck Description

Inspired by MetaSavant's deck; "The Epic of Sorin Markov", I have made my own version of a B/W deck for this very impressive Planeswalker.

How to Play

Use your vampires to stall your opponent and drop a Sorin. Things should turn around after that. Steal your opponent's life, kill their creatures and make lots of tokens so all will feel the wrath of the vampire lord of Innistrad

Deck discussion for I Am Sorin. Beware My Wrath

I know MetaSavant IRL and he would be tickled to know somebody was inspired by him.

His deck was alright. I made my own version with his permission as a way to make just about any Sorin shine, which isn't hard in most decks. If you can, tell him that I made my version and send him the link, I'd like to see what he thinks

Will do. Though I don't see him too often. I'll be sure to tell him next time ^^

First of all, I absolutely LOVE the name. Second, I'm glad your deck is more playable than mine. Mine is just purely for the novelty of being about Sorin. You kept to that theme and made it useable. Definite +1 from me and anyone else I can scrounge up!

i'm just noticing that of 7 permanents, you can have 1 in play on your side, therefore making the other 6 virtually dead cards. i would say drop 4-5 sorins and add some deck-search like diabolic tutor

Normally I'd agree with you. However, these days so many decks have the ability to thwart Planeswalkers' very quickly and efficiently so the need for many Sorin's is great. In addition to that thought, it seems to me that this deck would better benefit from playing Sorin for his 2nd ability more than anything else, especially if played in the right order his other vampires would be near unstoppable... Of course I could be wrong too hahaha but that's just the way I would play this deck.

I saw MetaSavant's Sorin deck a while back and loved it dearly. Im glad to see someone else liked it as well. Definite +1 from me!

If anyone's interested I think my recent idea for a Planeswalker-centric deck is pretty neat...

Why not Isolated Chapel over the barrens?

Barrens came to mind before Chapel. They're also cheaper and gain life
I know they aren't the best of lands but could be very useful in the deck

They both can be, i just have the ones that can come into play untapped in my mind before any other.

Love all the Sorin's

Note: There has NEVER been an bad Sorin. Other planeswalkers have some pretty shocking versions e.g. Jace, the Living Guildpack... Which need a deck to be based around them to be good

In other words: Sorin is THE best planeswalker around

Never a bad Sorin

would you say bolas or ugin have ever had a bad version (planeswalker edition, not bolas's creature form)

....Well considering the fact that there's only ever been one version of Nicol Bolas planeswalker and Ugin I'd say your question is invalid. There have been multiple versions of Sorin, and while there are several versions of Ajani, Chandra, Jace, Elspeth, Nissa, Gideon, Sarkhan and Tezzeret, they all have a less desirable version. Sorin stands above.

Yeah. Planeswalkers with 1 form do not count for this comp. it's just too soon to tell for them

Not to say I don't love Bolas or Ugin, because I do...but we'd have to see if and when they do another version

but you have to admit, the 1 version of ugin qualifies as one of the coolest planeswalkers in standard (if not ever)

I'll admit that next to jace mind sculpter and karn he is up there with the most overpowered planeswalkers lol

is mind sculpter the one that was banned in modern for being to dang O.P? i hate that thing

Lol that's exactly the one. First planeswalker to get ban hammered. Ugin's probably not too far behind...although everyone said that karn was gonna get banned but he never did...

Ugin is essentially the opposite of Nicol Bolas. If Ugim were an angel, then Nicol Bolas would be a demon

1

the best way for them to be exactly opposite would be for ugin to be white/green, but from the way he acts he seems to not be very white (wow sounds so racist just typing that)
