Deck Description

The world is in a state of war between some of the most dominant races in the world:
• Humans
• Elves
• Dwarves
• Orcs
• Goblins
• Halflings + Gnomes (a.k.a The Alliance of Midgets)
• The Undercommon --> Permanent alignment of Drow, Duergar, a few Strix and Dhampir

How to Play

Story:
Humanity has just been struck a massive blow by the Orcs and Undercommon in the war and have now retreated to a fraction of their territory, now with only 1 major city with some smaller townships. The main allies of Humanity, the Elves, have called back most forces to their main capital of Elven Guarde and spread them around the Elven territories. The current ruler of Humanity has called upon all warriors and mages to report to the castle for a tournament to find the best in the lands to represent Humanity. As an apology from Elven Guarde, the Elven leaders have pleaded and entered some Elven participants to help represent the bonds between Humanity and Elven Guarde.

Deck discussion for Pathfinder: World of War

After a long walk from your various towns/cities you both arrive at the capital of Humanity known as Dolmen of the territory Coranbora.

Collamus, you have already been here for about a week because you were coming to study the art of illusion magic before the tourney was announced. Feeling like this was a good chance to improve, explore and represent Humanity, you signed up for the event.
You are starting out in the School of Arcane Arts

Wildrceth, you have come to show up both the Elven community from Elven Guarde and your parents. Being an outcast and a mercenary, you thought that this is the place to show your strength and cunning while finding a place you truley belong. After a long ride you promtely decide to find a place to stay for the night and something to eat.
You are starting out in the tavern known as The Scuttling Inhibition

What do you both do?

I will begin by talking to the proprietor of the fine establishment to familiarize myself with the city. While not a skilled magician myself, my upbringing has granted me an appreciation of the magic arts, and I wish to find a mage as a traveling companion.

You have no travelling companion at this time. Being a somewhat isolated mercenary, you travelled here on your own. Because of all the hatred you experienced when you were younger, you chose to live generally by yourself so others couldn't get near you to cause any emotional harm.
SPOILERS: You will get a group later.

After some exploration, you get a real sense of how Dolmen is set out. You are able to remember the locations of various buildings that you will need to know: Pubs, Taverns, Smiths, Food, Potions etc.

You enter the potions shop and a bell rings. A woman in a black dress appears to rise up from behind the counter and says "How may I help you?"

I say, "I am a weary traveller in need of healing potions. May I see your stock?"

She lays out a few vials of red potions on the table. Some are more crimson than others while others look pink. She picks up a smaller vial towards the left of the counter. "I recommend something like this for you"
Roll intelligence

Um ... I know how to do skill checks, but how do you roll intelligence? Do I just roll a d20, and add my modifier to it?

Yes. It's like a perception roll, but without ranks and what-not. Since there is no skill for this type of thing.

You think that this is most likely a Potion of Cure Light Wounds, but it may be a bit stronger than that

Ask the shopkeeper, "how much is this potion?"

Hmm ... I'll take 4 (take 16 gold out of 30 gold out)

I like it. Finally a way to make the flavor text meaningful!

She replies with "I'm sorry, but we only have 2 in stock."
She pulls out a second one from under the counter. "That will be 8 gold please"
