Deck Description

I've always loved tokens, but they don't seem as strong as they used to. I needed some heavy hitters too. Cue Reckoner, Paladin, and Champion.

How to Play

Game one is all about hitting hard and fast. Each subsequent game on the play same strategy. On the draw side in the pilgrims the rain of blades and the rootborn defenses for that Reckoner infinite life combo.

I have a few suggestions, now i'm not an avid standard player but i'm gonna try it out more here soon. But with running red I think your missing out one it's most overpowering ability and scary instants/sorcery of burn spells, Maybe toss in some pillar of flame or brimstone volley. Also rootborn defenses would be a great mix with this deck to avoid field sweeps or just make you have a more aggressive attack phase without fear of dropping down your amount of creatures... If you were to take something out I would recommend nearheath pilgrim, I think the lifegain part to this will slow you down more than help you, You'll need a win or a better defense and instead you'll get a little lifegain which wont get you to that aggressive point you seem to need in this deck. Lifegain might help you more than I can see, but it's just my opinion =]

hope i helped ya =p

Thanks so much for your comments. I haven't finished formulating ideas for a sideboard yet, but rootborn is definitely on that list. Also, I haven't actually splashed red at all. I will always be casting Reckoner for 3 white. I agree that the lifegain may be too slow, but I figured If I could get it paired with a paladin it could in late game. I have yet to really test this deck, but once I do, I'll definitely be making adjustments.

Haha My bad for not seeing that you're only running plains, well splashing some red in might not hurt, your choice, But i def. think that rootborn defenses would help, and if you were gonna drop something from this deck nearheath pilgrim would be my choice =p

I say take out the pilgrim and put in precinct captain. a 2/2 first striker that generates 1/1 s for two mana is pretty sick, other possibilities knight of infamy, or elite inquisitor. also I would suggest champion of the parish over boros elite. you need some dual lands to get black mana available to really take advantage of the souls. if you plan to splash red put in boros charm over any other red card, its too good not to have in a red/white deck. good luck like the deck so far

Wow I actually totally agree. Can't believe I forgot about Precinct Captain, and I'm trying to get my hands on some Champions. I'll be throwing in some godless shrines too for the spirits. What are your thoughts on Vault of the Archangel? Would it benefit more than it hurts my mana base?
