Deck Description

Fun, Casual Token-based creature deck!

The whole point of this deck is to pretty much get as much mana as possible so as when you play Wolfbriar Elemental you will have an amazing amount of green mana to pay its multi-kicker and swarm your enemy with Wolves!

Traproot Kami is in the sideboard just in case you come up against a flying creature based deck, as this deck has no defenses against flying. Traproot Kami will also synergise really well with the amount of forest land cards you have, which is great for a defender card.

The Protean Hydra is in this deck only as a win-con, in combination with Overwhelming Stampede and vast amount of tokens, you are guaranteed victory!

Deck discussion for Wolf Token Deck

wolves make nice tokens by themselves, but instead of playing overrun, play something like beastmaster ascension, that way they will be permanently powered up instead of only for one turn! this also means that even a single wolf would become a threat, being a 7/7! i use a similar tactic in my elf decks,, you might even consider looking at my combo chaos for some multicolor combos, try and spot them all. please comment on my decks, i need advice to see if there are any major plays that fit nicely into my theme i have overlooked...

Hey, thanks for commenting. Yeah, i have Beastmaster Ascension already in the deck but any suggestions into which card i should add in if Overrun is put out?

how another garruk wildspeaker? he has overrun built in and he can spank of 3/3 tokens and having 2 planeswalkers doubles your chances of putting him out... maybe something along the defensive lines? fog maybe?

Yeah, well i wish i could but I'm running on a budget here, after all I'm still a high school kid :P I'm trying to keep this deck under 70 dollars, because that's how much I'm willing to pay, and well all of these cards dip just around $67 and Garruk costs about 10 dollars each... but yeah, it would be much greater in the deck. Personally, fog doesn't have that much use in this deck as I'm planning to go aggressive and all out! :D

Personally i like overrun even more them beastmaster ascension, since the +3/+3 and tramble is often enough to beat your opponent, so it's really just not needed with BA in my opinion. I would prefer either 2 more Wren's Run Packmaster, since deathtouch on all wolves is just brutal - not sure about the price of them though, or 2 more wolfbriar elementals, since they're pretty essential for winning with this deck. If both of those options are too expensive, go for some more mana like explore, Explosive Vegetation, or collective voyage. Hope it helps :)
