Deck Description

This is a non-competitive Jund deck I'd like to build once Dragon's Maze hits. The deck focuses around Varolz, the Scar-Striped (Golgari's Champion) and the 4x Dreg Manglers are placeholders until the site updates and Varolz is in the database. Here's the card for reference:

So anyway, Varolz let's me scavenge any creature in my graveyard for its mana cost, and on top of that, he's an aggressively-costed regenerating creature himself. Because of his ability, creatures that have a high Power and low mana cost are prime targets for this ability, mainly Vexing Devil and Death's Shadow. Besides this, it plays similarly to most Jund aggro lists.

The 2 Inkmoth Nexus' in the deck are serving as alternative finishers. Scavenging a Death's Shadow onto a flying infect creature can make for a 1-hit kill absolutely out of nowhere.

[A disclaimer/note about Vexing Devil: Yes, I'm aware the card is bad, as usually giving your opponent's the choice will always result in the one you don't want, and the card will be wasted. With Varolz though, the potential for a 1-mana +4/+4 boost is incredible. It changes your opponent's options to be leave the 4/3 beater alone, or let me have a 1-mana big pump spell later on when I can kill with my bigger creatures, which applies a lot of additional pressure on their board state. Definitely worth the inclusion alongside Varolz.]

Lol... if this was meant to be competitive there wouldn't be a phyrexian arena haha. Nice build! Look into burial cards to pump with scavenge faster... And no corpsejack menace?

Vexing Devil is definitely not bad with Varolz, if they let you burn you scavenge for one, if they don't you can pump it with something else or just sac it totally free with Varolz, then scavenge it.
Slumbering Dragon could also work, thanks to scavenge he wakes up quickly or is just another nice target.
Also Skullbriar could work nice with this deck, perfect target for the counters or a powerful 2 mana scavenge.
