Plays mana generating creatures and defenders until I can hit 10 mana for Primal Surge (usually hit that easily anytime between turns 4-7) and then the deck erupts into a mass of huge creatures that overwhelm the opponent. It's performed quite well so far at Friday Night Magic. I plan on getting some Shock Lands soon to smooth out the mana base and change the creature setup a bit.

Gatecreeper vine, and soul of the harvest break the primal surge combo. Might suggest an enchantment /creature to search for primal surge and less creatures with defender. Plus laboratory maniac would be a nice card to put in there.
