Birthing Pod enables one of my favorite combo builds, ever. The thing I don't like about combo is that it exists purely to win, circumventing the back and forth power struggle that makes Magic fun to play. Pod is a bit more subtle than that -- unlike Storm or Twin, it's a combo that doesn't add an immediate "you win the game" effect.
