wtf is ante?
It's an old mechanic that has been banned from use, where each player would draw the top card off their library before each game, and place it into the "ante." Whomever wins the game, wins all of the cards in the ante. As in they now own them. It would have been a really fun mechanic back when cards weren't worth anything, but now you could risk an $80 card for a $0.10 common... not that fun :P
