Really nothing like my first Helter Smelter deck.. I just liked the name. I just opened up another fat pack and got some amazing rares (including 4x foils!! ^-^), finishing off a complete play set of Kuldotha Phoenix, a third Strata Scythe, a second Hoard-Smelter Dragon, and two more Spikeshot Elders... So, it was almost as though I were being told to construct a red deck of some kind.. No idea if this is the deck, exactly, but I thought I'd mess around with the idea before I got back to homework. Comment please! Love to hear your ideas :D EDIT: Okay, by amazing rares, I mean it was amazing how cohesive the boosters were.. If I grabbed them up in a limited constructed tournament, I'd have had a top 3 red deck for sure!

Nothing like a good 'ol Mono-Red Beatdown! I love Hoard Smelter personally, and all the Juicy artifacts in Scars make him a good card against almost every deck. And oh my gosh I just looked up Strata Scythe. That's friggin' awesome. Looks like a solid deck. I'd love to playtest it against my Blue/White Control deck. -BuLLZ3Y3

Turns out this deck needs some help. It looks good in a vacuum, but playtests have shown inconsistent results with Liquimetal -> Permanent destruction. Goblin Gaveleer can become ridiculously powerful, as can Spikeshot Elder, but both take too long to get pumped up to be considered effective aggro. I think the axes can be replaced with Sylvok Lifestaff. It's only +1/+0 but it's a 1-drop, 1-equip. Liquimetal can be replaced with Ornithopters, and Shatter with 1x Iron Myr and 3x Bolts or something.
