Deck Description

A casually competitive build for multi-player games, mixing lifelink with some old school green beasty speed. I still think it's a little slow, but the life gain should alleviate that. Still, I'd like to find some room (and suggestions) for a little more speed.

Sideboard includes other cards I'm considering for the deck, but don't really want to drop anything I already have. (Top pick from the sideboard is Reinforcements. From my experience, those great early game one drops, like Serra Ascendant, rarely stick around long enough to be useful end game.. and Reinforcements has saved my arse so many times to count)

Comments, criticism and complaints, all welcome.

Deck discussion for It's A Wonderful Life

This is a nice solid deck once it gets rolling. i might advise some more mana ramp like maybe arbor elves or something but this deck looks good

Thanks for the props :) I'm a bit worried it's a little unbalanced, though, setting up for some gimped hands.

For mana ramp I was thinking either Skyshroud Elf or Fyndhorn Elves. I don't have enough forests to make use of Arbor Elf (though it'd be pretty sweet if some of the dual lands were subtyped "Forest Plains")

That would be pretty awesome but ya mana ramp up help fyndhorn elves would be awesome for this deck. maybe put in some more big nastys to search for cause all your looking for at the moment is the wurmcoil and the sovereign

Changed it up a little bit. I think I like the inclusion of Engulfing Slagworm.

I'm also wondering if Leyline of Vitality is worth it. I almost think I'd rather drop it for another Fierce Empath, Engulfing Slagworm, or Reinforcements, as well as my 2x Sun Titan. Sun Titan fits perfectly at CMC 6, and can bring back Serra Ascendant, Fierce Empath, Children of Korlis, and Wall of Omens, each of which would rock to ETB multiple times (well Serra Ascendant because I expect it to die early, but w/e.)

I think with the addition of the slagworm and the sun titan that perfect cause krosan drove you can get them out really cheap. and i agree with the leyline because it doesnt really help as much as the other things that you put in for it. I dont think i see anything else you can put in now this deck looks awesome! hope i could help and im sorry for terrible grammer haha.

Glad you like it, Mikey :)

Krosan Drover aside, I like Sun Titan better for use with Fierce Empath. He's a 1/1 chump blocker once he's in play, and @3 CMC he works perfectly with Sun Titan. Use as a chump blocker, and return from the graveyard to tutor another CMC 6+ creature. Altogether an epic card for this deck (not to mention Sun Titan is my favorite of amongst the Titans) for all the reasons I mentioned above. Actually thinking about breaking the mold and bringing the deck to 61 to include a third of him.

SavajCabbaj! My man, I need your help. I'd like to do a friendly business propisition with you. Lately, my Decks have been getting absolutely no attention, and some of the attention my newer Decks to get is a little, well, off. I need big brains and someone to put on my 40th Deck Celebration page, and as far as I can tell, you're a pretty smart and capable guy. So what do you say we become partners? To make this comment not sound like something that should be on CNN, I'd reccomend maybe adding some Rest for the Weary or Survival Cache in this Deck. Rest for the Weary gives huge amount of Life-Gain for 2 Mana, and goes very well with your Turn 1 Serra Ascendents. Survival Cache is one of the very few ways you can draw Cards with White in Standard, so using it wont be too bad of an idea. Hope this helps and I hope you accept my proposition! :D

Would be nice if the Vault just had a few more front-end networking utilities (like friends and user-specific notifications) but yah, this approach is the best we've got at the moment :) I'll be sure to keep an eye out for your decks, just be sure to hit me back if you've got anything constructive to add to any of my (bajillion) deck ideas. It's amazing what players can do when they collab ^-^ So much more is learned about the game that way

You remind me of those spamposts that plague Hulu.. "Great show (lacking punctuation) I met my girl on this website, and I really like it. This is why (but with less punctuation)"
